The Merry Wives of Windsor

Plump, penniless, and seeking to repair his fortunes, Sir John Falstaff plots to seduce and defraud the high spirited wives of two wealthy Windsor businessmen. What he doesn't realize is that the two clever women have seen through his schemes and are plotting a few tricks of their own. When he confides his plans to a stranger, who is really one of the jealous husbands, he finds himself, literally, in the drink. Soon the would-be fortune hunter becomes the hapless prey and this hilarious farce offers some sharp reflections on the virtues - and problems - of married life.
